Caramel Apple Jars (Each Jar)
- ⅓ cup greek yogurt I prefer plain but vanilla works too
- 1 small apple diced small (I prefer honeycrisp)
- 1-2 Tbsp salted date caramel
- 2 Tbsp crushed pecans
- ½ Tbsp mini m&ms
Make caramel: Add dates, vanilla extract, and salt to the food processor, and pulse a few times. Slowly add milk or water, pulsing in between, until you’ve used ⅓ cup. Once your caramel is smooth, add more liquid as needed to reach your preferred consistency. I usually use the full ½ cup for a more fluid caramel, but it depends on your preference and the freshness of your dates! Transfer to a jar for storage.
Assemble jars: Add yogurt, apple, date caramel, and toppings to a large jar. Shake before eating if desired. PS. The recipe makes more date caramel than you’ll need – use about 1-2 Tbsp in each caramel apple jar, and save the rest for later. Enjoy!
- Make sure your dates are soft and fresh for easier blending.
- Add liquid to the blender slowly to avoid splashing/leaking.
- If you don’t have a food processor, I recommend using an immersion blender instead. A regular blender will struggle with the smaller volume here.
- Swap nuts or m&ms for any nuts or candies you like – walnuts, salted peanuts, skor bits, etc.
