Air Fryer Tortilla Pizza (High Protein)

Healthy pizza for lunch with 33 grams of protein. This easy air fryer tortilla pizza will nourish your body and keep you full for hours.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 large tortilla, I used 10-inch whole wheat
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce, more as needed
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken , chopped small
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • handful toppings (see below for suggestions), I used pesto, bell pepper, red onion, and olives

Topping Ideas

  • sliced vegetables: bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, artichoke, red onion, spinach, zucchini, sun dried tomatoes, olives, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers
  • fresh herbs: basil, parsley, chives, oregano
  • extras (add after cooking): balsamic glaze, ranch, pesto, hot honey, grated parmesan, fresh arugula, lemon juice

Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer

Instructions
 

  • Add tortilla to your air fryer basket. If needed, gently press down with your hands so the tortilla takes the shape of the basket.
  • Spread your pizza sauce over the tortilla, getting close to the edges. Add chicken, cheese, and additional toppings (in that order) in even layers on top.
  • Cook in the air fryer for 4-7 minutes at 400 F. I don't recommend pre-heating your air fryer for this recipe, because it's easier to assemble your pizza in a cool air fryer basket. Cook until cheese is bubbling and tortilla is crisp.
  • Remove the air fryer basket from the air fryer. Let your pizza rest in the basket for 5 minutes before carefully transferring to a cutting board. Slice, add any additional toppings/drizzles, and serve!
