Position oven rack to the middle and pre-heat to 350 F.
Prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
To a large bowl, add banana, peanut butter, honey, ground flaxseed, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and spread to reach the edges.
Sprinkle with an even layer of mini chocolate chips.
Bake for 18-23 minutes or until the top is set and lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
When your bars are warm out of the oven, finish with a sprinkle of flakey sea salt. Let them cool in the pan for 15-minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Let them cool to room temperature before slicing.
